| The background vocals on Rick Dee's 'Disco Duck' was performed by Hot Buttered Soul. The group was formed by Motown alumni Pat Lewis. The group was also the background vocals on Isaac Hayes' mega hit 'Shaft', 'and 'Tie A Yellow Ribbon Round The Old Oak Tree' by Tony Orlando. At the time, there was no group called Dawn. The group Dawn was added as an after thought. Hot Buttered Soul sang the backgrounds, and Thelma Hopkins was a sit-in for one of the groups singers. She later joined Tony Orlando as the other half of Dawn. |
